Do I need a tint test?
A tint test is required for every new client to hazelwood or if there has been a gap from treatment over 12 month.
A tint test can be carried out in the salon no closer than 48 hours prior to your tint appointment but can be further in advance.
A tint test takes 5 mins to carry out and is a small patch of tint behind the ear. Please call or book online.
Important notice if you are booking
Tinting and LVL treatments
- Requires a mandatory tint test before your visit as we re-open regardless of previous tests
- A tint test must be taken a minimum of 48 hours prior to the first tint or LVL on re-opening
- After this a tint test is required should any medical condition change in-between tinting appointments
- After your tint test from re-opening should there be a future gap longer than 6 months from a previous tint or LVL treatment you need to retest again.
Vaccinations
If you have had a vaccination we can not tint test you until after 10 days.
Please be aware of these details before booking to avoid disappointment.

What do I do if I get a reaction to the tint test?
The tint is a vegetable dye with a peroxide activator. A reaction is irritation soreness or sensitivity and could be itchy.
Reactions are extremely rare, but a test is always carried out and registered at Hazelwood.
Should a reaction occur, rinse the area and apply a antiseptic cream, then let us know. We would therefore not be able to carry out your tinting as a safe measure for you.
Do you wax or tweeze the eyebrows?
Your therapist will discuss the brow procedure and what you are looking to achieve.
The method used on the majority of our clients is with Lycon hot wax on the brows followed by minimal tweezing to perfect the end shape.
Can I wear my contact lenses?
Please remove your contact lenses prior to your appointment.
Will tinting and shaping my brows make much difference?
Always!!!
The combination of tinting the eyebrows and shaping them gives definition to the face beautifully.
