How should I prepare for my waxing appointment?

For best results, we recommend:

avoiding self tan before your appointment

allowing enough hair growth between waxing appointments

gently exfoliating the area 24 hours beforehand

avoiding heavy oils or lotions on the day of treatment

Please also avoid heat treatments or intense exercise immediately before your appointment where possible.

How long should my hair be before waxing?

Hair should ideally be long enough for the wax to grip effectively, usually around 2–3 weeks of growth depending on the area being treated.

If you are unsure, please contact us before booking and we will be happy to advise.

Will waxing hurt?

Everyone experiences waxing differently, however Lycon waxing is designed to be gentler and more comfortable than traditional waxing systems.

Many clients are pleasantly surprised by how quick and manageable the treatment feels.

Why do you use Lycon wax?

Lycon wax is a premium professional waxing system designed to remove even short, stubborn hairs while being kinder to the skin.

It helps reduce irritation and delivers smooth, precise results with greater comfort.

Is there any aftercare following waxing?

After waxing, we recommend:

avoiding hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours

avoiding self tan and fragranced products on the treated area

avoiding direct sun exposure where possible

keeping the skin clean and hydrated

Your therapist will advise you on the most suitable aftercare for your skin.

Can I have waxing before or after sun exposure?

We recommend avoiding waxing immediately before or after strong sun exposure or sunbeds, as the skin may feel more sensitive.

Can I have waxing if I use retinol or active skincare?

Retinol, exfoliating acids, and certain skin treatments can increase skin sensitivity.

Please inform your therapist if you are using any active skincare, acne medication, or prescription products before your appointment.

Is intimate waxing discreet?

Absolutely.

Your comfort, privacy, and professionalism are always our priority. Treatments are carried out respectfully and discreetly by experienced therapists.

How should I prepare for intimate waxing?

For the best waxing results, we recommend gently exfoliating the area 24 hours before your appointment and keeping the skin well hydrated beforehand.

Please also ensure hair is trimmed to a short, neat length before your appointment. This helps the wax grip more effectively and allows for a more comfortable treatment experience.

If you are unsure about preparation, our team will always be happy to advise before your visit.

Can I have waxing during pregnancy?

Many waxing treatments can still be carried out during pregnancy, although skin sensitivity may increase.

Please let your therapist know when booking so we can ensure your treatment is suitable and comfortable for you.
