What is a body scrub?

A body scrub is an exfoliating treatment designed to gently remove dull, dry skin cells while leaving the skin feeling smoother, softer, and refreshed.

The treatment also helps stimulate circulation and creates a healthy glow across the body.

What are the benefits of a body scrub?

Body scrubs may help to:

• Smooth and soften the skin
• Remove dry or rough skin
• Improve skin texture and radiance
• Encourage relaxation and wellbeing
• Prepare the skin for moisturising treatments or tanning
• Leave the body feeling refreshed and revitalised

Will the treatment feel harsh on my skin?

No. Your therapist will tailor the pressure and exfoliation to suit your skin type and comfort level.

The treatment is designed to feel invigorating yet relaxing, leaving the skin soft and refreshed rather than irritated.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Comfortable, loose fitting clothing is recommended after your treatment.

As nourishing oils or creams may be used during the treatment, darker or easily washable fabrics are ideal.

How much clothing do I remove during treatment?

Your comfort is always the priority.

Your therapist will explain everything before treatment begins and will leave the room while you change privately. Appropriate draping techniques are always used throughout the treatment.

Will my skin be red afterwards?

Some clients experience mild warmth or slight pinkness immediately after treatment due to increased circulation and exfoliation. This usually settles quickly, leaving the skin looking fresh and glowing.

Can I combine a body scrub with another treatment?

Yes. Body scrubs pair beautifully with massage and other body treatments, helping products absorb more effectively while enhancing relaxation and skin softness.

How should I prepare for my body scrub?

For best results, we recommend avoiding shaving, waxing, retinols, strong exfoliants, skin peels, or self tan for at least 24–48 hours before your treatment.

Arriving with clean, product free skin will help your treatment feel more comfortable and allow your skin to benefit fully from the exfoliation.

Is there any aftercare?

After your treatment, we recommend keeping the skin well hydrated and avoiding harsh exfoliation, retinols, self tan, excessive heat, or direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours.

This helps maintain smooth, comfortable, glowing skin after treatment.

How often should I have a body scrub?

This depends on your skin type and goals, but many clients enjoy a body scrub every 4–6 weeks to maintain smooth, radiant skin throughout the year.

Are body scrubs suitable for sensitive skin?

Most clients leave feeling both relaxed and refreshed.

Body scrubs combine physical exfoliation with calming treatment touch, creating a treatment that benefits both the skin and overall wellbeing.
